Elton Boat Club is located in a superb position to enjoy the many characteristics of boating on the inland rivers and canals.
The club lies on the River Nene, between Oundle (upstream; approximately 3.5 boat hours) and Peterborough (downstream, approximately 6 boat hours). From Peterborough, travel is possible out to sea through Wisbech, or through the Middle Levels of the Fens (headroom under bridges only 7 feet) to the unique River Ouse and tributaries. Travel upstream all the way to Northampton and, if your boat is not too wide, continue up the narrow locks of the Grand Union canal onto the national canal and river network.
Adjacent to Warmington Mill, the club is accessed by road from the A605 between Oundle and Peterborough, turn right at the Warmington roundabout towards Fotheringhay and then immediately right again down the access road to Warmington Mill (signed 'Fired Earth'). The club house is on the left, some 500 yards down the lane, with parking on the right. The Mill leat and moorings are straight ahead.
The post code for Warmington Mill is PE8 6TJ.
